DS Advance Why D?

31).A fruit basket contains apples, oranges, and tangerines in the ratio 3: 2: 5, respectively. What is the total number of apples, oranges, and tangerines in the fruit basket?

I. The fruit basket contains a total of 8 apples and tangerines.

II. The fruit basket contains fewer than 12 oranges.

Answer given in doc is D, but i solved it to A

I is sufficient since 3k +2k+5k =10 so k =1 ;

II) fewer than 12 oranges… so that could be 2,4,6,8,10  insufficient.

Can someone please help me why answer is D

Yeah Ankita.

Answer should be A(I alone is sufficient).

I think, instead of oranges it should be given as fruits. Then the statement II is sufficient.

Thanks for letting us know. I think its a typo error.

We shall make the necessary changes.
