Highest achievable GMAT sectional scores

Hi,

With GMAT changing the pattern and reducing the number of questions in Quant and Verbal sections, what could be the highest achievable sectional scores?

Earlier the highest scores achievable were 52 in Quant and Verbal each, pertaining to the fact that there were test questions which were not evaluated. Now that those questions have been greatly reduced can a person score more than 52 or more than 800 overall?

I ask this to understand if there would be an implication in the desired scores that universities accept.

Thanks,

Aditya

Hi,

Keeping it short:

1. Highest achievable score earlier was 51 in each section.

2. Highest achievable score now is still 51, as only the number of experimental questions has reduced.

3. More than 800 = NEVER!
