OG2015 Quant DS Question No .94 What is the value of x/yz? 1)x=y/2 and z=2x/5 2)x/z=5/2 and 1/y=1/10
the OG ans is wrong.
Hello Manoj,
Using statement 1 alone:
x = y/2 and z = 2x/5 implies z = y/5 { because y = 2x}. Using these values in the expression x/yz and simplifying gives us 5/2y. Hence, data from statement 1 alone is not sufficient.
Using statement 2 alone:
x/z = 5/2 and 1/y = 1/10; hence, x/yz = 1/4, which is a unique answer.
Therefore, statement 2 alone is sufficient
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Arvind BT
