B, D and E seem to suggest that the part “cost less, get better gas mileage, allow ……………………..” will hold true only in the case of minivans carrying seven passengers. This changes the intended meaning.

In B, C and E “minivans…..xyz, they” is incorrect sentence structure.

Choice A correctly uses the conjunction “and”, which implies that both things i.e. the number of passengers and the other things about the minivans are true but aren’t necessarily dependent
