Option A, B & C – Does not follow parallelism.

This clearly separates two prepositional phrase in the calculation of continuous compounding in finance, terminal velocity in physics, and exponential decay in chemistry and in the construction of the standard Western twelve-tone scale in music.
Option D – in the calculation of continuous compounding in finance, terminal velocity in the field of physics, and exponential decay in chemistry . Nouns finance and chemistry is not parallel to the field of physics.
Option E is more clear and concise.
