When the positive integer x is divided by 9, the remainder is 5. What is the remainder when 3x is divided by 9?
A. 0
B. 1
C. 3
D. 4
E. 6
My Ques: Values of x that satisfies x/9 remainder-5 (5, 14, 23 …)
When i substitute in 3x/9 – 3*5/9- I get remainder 2. because i cancel out 3/9 converting ratio in 5/3 giving remainder 2.
Where am i going wrong?
This question is similar to one of the previous questions you posted. Perform long division with 9 to get the remainder.
