My Ques: Why is option E wrong?
Hi Riya,
Option E would be correct if the construction was ” Alexandria’s largest library of the ancient world was destroyed, resulting in…………”
This construction creates a cause and effect relationship between the destruction and the rest of the sentence through “resulting”. When you use “and” the cause and effect relationship doesn’t come out.
Hope this helps!
Got it. thank you sir and sandeep!
